Hi! I'm Deanna, a video director and producer who turns big, complex ideas into content people actually want to watch. I built short-form GTM video comms strategies from the ground up at YouTube, support AI demo films and showcase content for Google Cloud, and have 160M+ views to show for a decade of obsessing over what makes someone hit play. Based in New York, currently at Google.
A decade of directing, producing, and building video operations across media and tech.
Built the Shorts operation from scratch for the YouTube Creators channel, including strategy, formats, and visual identity. Grew views 6x to 6.1M+, directed on-location shoots for VidCon and flagship series, led the channel's creative evolution. Check out the Shorts tab on the channel for more of my work.
Directed, shot, and edited video content for Seventeen, Cosmo, and Elle's digital platforms finalizing 5–12 productions per week. Originated and designed the new series “Read Receipts,” executing production and editorial direction from pilot through publication.
Directed social-first content for creators and brands including Karlie Kloss, Casey Neistat, Hannibal Buress, Harper Collins, MAC, and @368. One-woman production team, concept through color.
Ideated, shot, and edited 60+ videos for Nifty, Goodful, and Playfull, racking up 160M+ views and 1M+ shares. Consistently hit the 99th percentile by chasing trends and making content people couldn't help but share. See more of my work at BuzzFeed →
Personal work exploring AI as a creative partner. Promptography, synthography, and AI filmmaking.
“A Conversation with my Lola” is a short documentary built from a recorded conversation with my grandmother while visiting the Philippines in 2019. Using AI, I reconstructed the stories, advice, and memories she shared with me, creating the visuals I always wished I had captured. Every frame was generated using Midjourney and animated with Runway ML and Luma Dream Machine, with AI transcription handling both the Tagalog and English. The result is a film I could never have made without AI. It's a way of going back in time to a moment I can’t revisit, and telling her story the way it deserves.
Currently open to new opportunities in video direction and production.
